Chef Sun Kim’s culinary journey began with a deep appreciation for Korean flavours, before taking him to Sydney, where he trained under renowned chef Tetsuya Wakuda at Tetsuya’s, and later to Waku Ghin in Singapore. In 2015, Chef Sun Kim opened Meta in Singapore. The restaurant earned its first Michelin star in 2017 and its second in 2024, and has been featured in Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants since 2021. At Meta, Chef Sun Kim presents a contemporary interpretation of Korean flavours, shaped by his heritage and global culinary experiences.
